Liability covers the damage you cause to someone else. The first coverage amount is the bodily injury coverage per person. The second coverage listed is the total coverage per accident, regardless of the number of people involved. This is extremely important to you because in the event you are at fault, this is the amount paid on your behalf by the insurance company. You can be sued for the additional amount (if any) over your policy coverage limits. This is a reason to evaluate your need for additional liability coverage provided by a personal umbrella policy.

Uninsured Motorists/Underinsured Motorists is optional in the State of Texas and will be listed next.

UM/UIM covers the bodily injury caused to you and your passengers in the event the other driver is at fault and is uninsured or underinsured, again the first number is the per person and the second number is the total per accident regardless of the total amount of the claim.

Note: If the total of all the per person amounts exceeds the per accident amount, the total amount will be distributed divided between the claimant proportionate to the claim.

Collision coverage allows the insured to only be responsible for the deductible listed on the declarations page. This is coverage for damage incurred to listed vehicles on the policy as a result of an at fault accident.

Other than Collision (Comprehensive) coverage protects you in the event of a natural disaster, flying object or hitting an animal.

Towing and labor offers coverage for roadside assistance or towing for breakdown or covered loss.

Rental car coverage provides with a replacement vehicle in the event of a covered loss up to the daily amount for 30 days.
